Fiberglass storage tank is a composite material storage tank made of resin and glass fiber through special processes. It combines the corrosion resistance of resin with the strength of glass fiber to form a lightweight and sturdy storage device. Anti-corrosion characteristics:
GRP products have become the transmission medium of many industries with their super corrosion resistance, but what is the reason for them to achieve their unique characteristics? The structure of fiber-wound FRP products is divided into three parts: inner lining layer, structural layer and outer protective layer. Among them, the resin content of the inner lining layer is high, generally above 70%, and the resin content of the resin-rich layer on its inner surface is as high as about 95%. By selecting the resin used for the inner lining, FRP products can have different corrosion resistance when conveying liquids, thereby meeting different work needs; for occasions where external corrosion protection is required, you only need to carefully select the resin of the outer protective layer to achieve different external corrosion protection purposes.
According to different corrosion environments, FRP products can use different anti-corrosion resins, mainly including: isophthalic unsaturated polyester resin, vinyl resin, bisphenol A resin, epoxy resin and resin, etc., according to the specific situation: for acidic environment, choose bisphenol A resin, resin, etc.; for alkaline environment, choose vinyl resin, epoxy resin or resin, etc.; for solvent-based use environment, choose resin; when the corrosion of acid, salt, solvent, etc. is not very serious, the relatively cheap isophthalic resin can be used. By choosing different resins for the inner lining, FRP products can be widely used in working environments such as acid, alkali, salt, solvent, etc., showing good corrosion resistance.
Raw material testing:
Selecting high-quality raw materials is the key to ensuring product quality. The raw and auxiliary materials and accessories of FRP tanks are purchased from qualified suppliers. The company must conduct incoming inspection. The surface density and linear density of FRP tanks are tested, and the moisture content and organic content are tested. Only when they meet the requirements and are accepted can they be released. The viscosity, solid content and gel time of FRP tanks are sampled. Only when they meet the requirements can they be used.
Process inspection:
The process inspection is carried out during the production process. The process inspection implements a self-inspection and mutual inspection system. The operator conducts self-inspection in each process of ingredients, lining, winding, trimming, demoulding, etc., and the bottom process is inspected from the top process. The inspection content is mainly appearance and size. The inspection structure fills in the inspection of the product process and records it. Each product has a record, and the product number and process inspection record number correspond to each other.
Finished product acceptance:
The last process is finished product acceptance. The acceptance of FRP tanks should be strictly in accordance with the relevant standards of JC/T587 "Fiber Wound Reinforced Plastic Storage Tanks". The main inspection standards are whether the surface of the FRP tank is flat and smooth, free of impurities, no exposed fibers, no visible cracks, no obvious scratches, white spots and delamination; the outer surface should be flat and smooth, no exposed fibers, no obvious bubbles and serious color unevenness.
